The Screwdriver Holder, designed by Wei Jingye, Jin Yadong, and Chen Siqi, addresses the common problem of holding a nail and using a screwdriver simultaneously, which often leads to finger injuries. This design aims to make the screwing process more efficient and safer by providing a steady holder for both the screwdriver and the nail.

What sets this design apart is its flexibility and replaceability. The wire-steel on both sides of the holder can be adjusted and changed according to the size of the screwdriver and nail. This ensures a secure grip and prevents any swaying during the screwing process. Additionally, the white steel part is replaceable, allowing for easy installation by simply inserting it. This seemingly small improvement not only saves money but also conserves resources.

The Screwdriver Holder is made from recyclable green plastic, white steel, and environmental protection rubber. The parts are assembled using numerical control and manual machining techniques. Its compact size, measuring 60 mm x 11 mm x 15 mm, makes it easy to store and handle.

To use the Screwdriver Holder, simply insert the screwdriver into the holder and place the nail in front. Twist the screwdriver with one hand, and the nail will be drilled into the specified point. The white steel on both sides will expand or retract according to the condition of the nail, ensuring a steady grip. Once the screwing process is complete, the white steel will automatically return to its original position.

The Screwdriver Holder was designed and developed by Wei Jingye, Jin Yadong, and Chen Siqi in Shenyang, starting in October 2017 and completed in February 2018. It was displayed at the museum of LuXun Academy of Fine Arts in the same year.

This innovative design has received recognition and accolades, including the Bronze A' Design Award in the Hardware, Power, and Hand Tools Design category in 2018. This award acknowledges the outstanding creativity and ingenuity of the Screwdriver Holder, which enhances the user experience and contributes to improving the quality of life.
